Bring the magic of Sophie Says into your school!
I love visiting schools to read the Sophie Says stories to children, helping them build confidence, resilience, and emotional wellbeing in a way that’s fun, interactive, and unforgettable.
Whether it’s for an individual class or a full school assembly, my sessions are designed to inspire, uplift, and leave children with practical tools they can carry into everyday life.
Fun, Movement & Music
After the story, the children take part in a lively workshop:
- -Interactive activities linked to the book’s theme.
- -Singing along to the Sophie Says songs.
- -Copying the dance moves with the Sophie Says characters.
It’s energetic, engaging, and helps the message truly sink in.
What Children Gain from an Author Visit:
- -Confidence to express themselves and their feelings
- -Strategies for resilience and emotional wellbeing
- -The joy of reading and storytelling brought to life
- -A memorable experience that connects books with fun, movement, and creativity
Book Signing for Pupils
At the end of the visit, there’s the option for a book signing session. Parents can purchase Sophie Says books in advance or on the day, and I’ll personally sign each child’s copy, making it a keepsake they’ll treasure.
And for every book purchased, we donate a book to a child in need, so families are part of spreading the Sophie Says message even further.
The Books I Read:
Each session includes a live reading of one of the four Sophie Says books, followed by a short interactive workshop tailored to that story’s theme:
-Sophie Says I Can, I Will:
A story of courage, confidence, and self-belief. Children learn that they can achieve anything they set their mind to.
-Sophie Says It’s Okay Not To Be Okay:
A gentle introduction to emotions, helping children understand it’s normal to have tough days and showing ways to talk about feelings.
-Sophie Says Be Proud of Who You Are:
A celebration of identity, uniqueness, and self-love, teaching children that differences make us special.
-Sophie Says It’s Okay to Make Mistakes
The newest book in the series, showing children that mistakes aren’t failures, they’re stepping stones to growth, resilience, and learning.
